SpaceWire Interface: Overview
Description
SpaceWire is a spacecraft communication network based in part on the IEEE 1355 standard of communications. The full SpaceWire standard is defined in the European Cooperation for Space Standardization document ECSS-E50-12A.
A SpaceWire link consists of two LVDS pairs in each direction of communication: Data and strobe. The strobe signal toggles when the data bit does not toggle, thus it is possible to recover the clock at the receiver by xor'ing data and strobe signals.
The SpaceWire interface connects a SpaceWire link to the Wishbone.
Features
- FIFO based interface to SpaceWire links
- Interrupt capability
