  • Constellation Encoder
The requirment of a constellation encoder is described in ITU-T G. 992.1. A cyclic redundancy check (CRC), scrambling, and forward error
correction (FEC) coding shall be applied to the contents of data, and the data from
the interleaved buffer shall then be passed through an interleaving function. The two data streams
shall then be tone ordered, and combined into a data symbol that is input to the
constellation encoder. After constellation encoding, the data shall be modulated to produce an
analogue signal for transmission across the customer loop.
