I've been wondering about that too!!
The project overview
(http://opencores.org/projects.cgi/web/ucore/overview) says it was
updated in January 2008, and now supports the complete MIPS32R2
instruction set... but the only file available for download is the old
MIPS I implementation.
Anyone have any luck contacting the author?
