    Subject: [oc] 16550 MCR WO?
    Top
    Hi,

Can anyone tell me why the "UART 16550 compatible" IP core has a
    write-only MCR register?

The reason I ask is that the windows serial drivers do in fact read the
MCR - implying that the registers are RW on a real device (the datasheet
doesn't specifically state RO or RW AFAICT).

    Regards,
