Are you using fixed point or floating point arithmetic for your hardware
    implementation?

    hey,
I'm working on the implementation of an image compressor on an Fpga
and the problem I met is on the dct results
except the dc coefficient (average value of the others), all the other
coefficients are greatly different from the software method ( using
    Matlab)
could anyone tell me how can I solve this problem or even explain it if it
    is normal
