Subject: [oc] (newbie) chip for power switching an sensors via ethernet
    Top

    Hi folks,

I'm looking for a chip/module which allows me to switch power
lines (220V) via ethernet and transmit some sensor data
(ie. key hits or analog/digitized data from temperature sensors,...)
It doesnt necessarily have to be IP, some low level directly on
ethernet is also okay, since these devices and the controlling
system will sit on the same segment.

Is there any usable stuff available ? How can I use it ?
I'm really really new to hardware development (i'm software developer).

    thx.
