Subject: [oc] Daniel Wallner's AX8 core
    Top
    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has tested this core in hardware yet. I am
doing a project at uni, and require an AVR core. I got the AX8 one
(AT90S2313) and tried playing with it.

I implemented it in a Xilinx Virtex 2 device (xc2v1000). It has worked
fine when trying to output data using the ports, but Im having problems
when I try and read data from the external world.

Has anyone played with this core in hardware at all?
If so, have all the peripherals worked (Im also struggling with the UART)?

and finally... Is there anywhere I can find an AVR core, which has been
proven to work in hardware AND has more ROM space than the
AT90S2313? also the AVR needs to have an UART.

I have looked at the pAVR, but that one dont seem to have an UART on
board. also, I cant seem to find the avr core
    (http://www.opencores.org/projects.cgi/web/avr_core/overview) at
all... Has this one been removed?

    Thanks lots,

    Martin
