Subject: [oc] spam...
On the subject of spam filters, are they still in place? I know that most of the random spam I get on a given day is one of 5 messages, almost word for word. Seems like things like that should be easy to filter ...
Here's an idea. Are there different settings/different spam filters that could be used? How about set it up so that it boots anything that it thinks even look like spam, and that gets sent to a moderater, but everything else just gets sent. Might even be worth having something like a "trusted" list, ie people who've posted a lot in the past are considered unlikley to spam, as opposed to someone new? I don't know if either of those are possible, but it seems like, if it could be done, it would cut down on the moderators workload.
