Subject: [oc] System09
Hi,
I put a System09 6809 work alike up on the web site
http://www.opencores.org/projects/system09/
It runs the SBUG Monitor ROM, which tests a fair swag
of the instructions including indirect jumps. Its still not fully
tested. I need to port the old Flex9 operating sytem to it
in order to better test the code. I've called it a Beta release,
but I'm not sure if that is strictly correct.
The ROM uses Xilinx Block RAM in order to make best
use of the XC2S300e I implemented it on. There may or
may not be a Slice version of the ROM in the zip file for
those of you using Altera FPGAs.
System68, a 6800/6801 work alike, is also up there.
Its been on CVS for a while, but I got the clock phases
wrong on the CVS version. I've successfully run a basic
interpreter on System68, so its fairly stable. I had a few
battles trying to get CVS to work, but I found the web
pages pretty straight forward.

Michael Hasenfratz is producing a wish bone version of the
6801 with peripherals, so you might look out for that.
There is some work going on fitting System68 on a XC2S100
so Insight and Xess users may be able to try it out soon I hope.
System11 and System05 still need a bit of work.
If any one has the BurchED B5-X300 board, they should
be able to run System09 as is. System68 uses some of the
older modules, so you will have to update the User Constraint File
if you plan using the Xilinx web pack software.
John Kent.
