Subject: [usb] OHCI - HC Initialization process
    Top
    Hello Everybody,
This was regarding the OHCI - HC Initialization process implemented in the linux ohci driver source code.

It is seen that in Line No. 2256 in the file usb-ohci.c within the function 'hc_start', that the HC initialization process involves setting values to the 'HcInterruptStatus' register in addition to the 'HcInterruptEnable' register but section 5.1.1.4 of the OHCI specs-version1.0 relating to 'Setup Host Controller' does not mention the requirement of the same. Is this a mandatory criteria in the HC initialization process?

If we skip initialization of values in the 'HcInterruptStatus' register, we seem to be observing some strange-unwanted behavior in the system. So, wanted clarification in this regard.

Thanking in advance for the help.
    With regards,
    Monisha.
