    Hi there,
    
    Well,.. i'm trying to do basically the same thing for a school project. I 
    think you have to download the IP cores, synthesize it and load it into 
    your FPGA chip. On the physical side, you need a transceiver for USB1.1 
    for a UTMI device for USB 2.0
    
    As for the software, I know there is an open source library called libusb 
    that runs under Linux and it's been ported to Windows just few weeks ago. 
    Try it out, it should work... :)
