Subject: [usb] Question about "Transfer Descriptor"

Hi,everyone
I am working on the usb host controller according to the OHCI Rev1.0. Now I am designing the "Transfer Descriptor Service"
state machine according to the Figure6-7 in the page 103 of the 
OHCI spec Rev1.0. However I am confused by the "Perform SOF check"
process in the flow chat. So is there anybody can tell me waht is the purpose of this process?Thanks a lot.
