Subject: [openrisc] Project idea ???
HI all,

I want to make my first sbc with an fpga. I have used many microcontroller / cpu to make my system. But now fpga is more easy to get and the price is constantly drop. SO i check many opencores IPCORE and openrisk seam to be the best bet to my project.

Here what i need:

Running 'C' code.
PCMCIA extension for CARD BUS (32bit) for 802.11a/b/g card.
1 or 2 serial interface.
1 ethernet 10/100
1 decoder manchester bi-phase.

I want to use this on a xilinx spartan 3 chip.

Like is my first sbc with a fpga i would like to know if this is realistic ?

i'm a newbi on fpga, i would like to know if i have something to know or book to buy before starting on this project.

I have a developement kit from xilinx with a spartant-3 on it.
