    Subject: [openrisc] CVS download
    Top
    Hi,

I'm going to start experimenting with or1200.

I would like to start with the or1200 tutorial.

I downloaded the files using WinCVS, then I switched
in Linux and I started installing the SW tool chain (starting
    from gcc 2.95)

It seems that the "configure" scripts are not recognized
as executable scripts (I checked for rights and type of shells
    of course).

Then, I downloaded gcc from the GNU site in .gtar format, I extracted
the archive and now it works (configure file are executed).

Is someone able to explain to me why the WinCvs procedure
"destroy" im some way executable property of configure files?

    Thanks

    Stefano
