    The most important goal is to have a Stable toolchain, i do not care
    much about what is it's origin much. By that i do not mean that it
    builds just ecos fine but also at least linux & uclinux. The problem right
    now is that every compiler we have has some (small) problems here or there.

    Right now i'm going to try gcc-3.1 with Scott's patch and it if works
    ok for ecos & uclinux & linux i'll be very tempted to use that one.
    (porting to newer stable versions of gcc is not problematic at all)
