you were right, that patch was bloaty. My apologizes.
I've made another (clean this time!) patch, it's located on the same url:

I've got limited access to the internet for now and I wasn't careful enough
with patching new/old snapshots of CVS :/
I checked out cvs at 16.00 today (31. october).
I would like to ask about problems with on_exit() again. Should I change
peripheral/channels/ and use global data in channels_ops structure?
