    Hi
    I read about several binary translation software & tools:

    1.  Dynamite from Transitive: (PowerPC -> X86)

    http://www.transitivetechnologies.com/

    2. FX!32 from Digital & Compaq: (Pentium -> Alpha)

    3. UQBT: from University of Queensland, Australia.

    4. Aries: From HP PA-RISC to Itanium.

    Is it possible to use similar technology for porting Linux (X86) application softwares to Linux for PowerPC?

    Transitive Technology claim they can create "Virtual PowerPC" running at 1.2 GHz using Athlon 1.4 GHz. Is this claim valid / true?
    Any idea about the performance on top of Pentium IV 2+ GHz?
