Subject: [oc] FPGA Dev Kit for Linux
As others have pointed out, the Xilinx software should run on other Linux distributions, they just don't support them. There is also a free clone of Enterprise Linux. Take a look at www.whiteboxlinux.org. I have seen both ISE Foundation and EDK running on it.
