Subject: [oc] Common IP-core metadata standardization
    Top

    Aloha!

There is a story on EE Times about the forthcoming standardization effort by
Synopsys, Cadence, ARM etc about IP-core metadata. The purpose is to find a
format that easily captures information about clocks, signals, test strategies
etc, information vital for easy IP integration.

    The story is here:

This might be worth keeping an eye on, especially since similar discussions
have erupted on this list and IMHO OpenCores would benefit from (if possible)
trying to follow industry standards for IP-cores. Standards that are open,
    naturally.
