    Yes you can
     
    Take the TDO of the first CPLD into the TDI of the second and TDO of the last CPLD back into the
     TDO of the programming cable.
     
    Also connect TMS,TCK (and nTRST if it is used) in parallel to both CPLDs.
     
    If you uses WebPack the iMPACT programmer will automatically detect the devices in the JTAG chain upon
     initialization and you can program them by assigning the appropriate .bit files.

    I have one AVNET XPA3 CPLD board with JTAG IN port and a coolrunner xpa 3 cpld that is soldered on the board, is it possible for me to place another cpld in parallel to the board cpld with connections from board CPLD JTAG pins to other CPLD JTAG pins and programmed both CPLDs.
